The major purpose, the motive, the objective, the ultimate goal, the indestructible desire for the trip.. Eat! Shop! And 叹!Woolala!!
This is the shopping part of the trip..
Suan Lum and Silom night market were just the appetizer!^^
First began from Siam Paragon and Zen, the contagious virus of desire started to haunt and reached its climax at Platinum.. which the whole control system was paralyzed soon after!! @.@
Must feature this Build-A-Bear Workshop in Zen!!
A place where you can make and customize your bear!! From picking the skin to clothing, accessories..
Sweeping all nearby night markets, Chatuchak, MBK.. and still felt like not getting enough..
Wey, so rush mer~ Not enough time to shop more ler~ @.@ though the limitations of space and weight was already an issue.. Size does matter! If not because I couldn’t find some right sizes for me, I would have more achievements.. Size issue still exists.. Thai sizes are generally smaller!
A place that we missed, the annual Silom Festival.. where stalls occupying the whole Silom Road!!
Due to the Ayuthya’s plan which was failed eventually, I missed the gang to Siam Discovery.. and some other famous shopping malls in Siam area I guess..
But I’m not blaming you here at all, Foong!
Undeniable, we had great adventure to some of the places I had not visited before.. and the Khao San’s feel was great! Amazingly, I still can find some time to shop in Khao San!! Ha!
We found it just few steps from our hotel, I Residence!! ^^V A not-bad choice for breakfast!! @.@ Milk Jook, as the name suggests.. congee or rice porridge in a milky texture.. or should I say consistency?
Even the 曼谷王 had paid his honour to this place! Look at all these compliments!!
The boss is a Thai Chinese and is able to communicate in Chinese! But still she made me ordered a sweet porridge which was more suitable to serve as a dessert! =.="
Our first meal there was quite a nice experiencing.. But frankly speaking, I think all congees served were a bit TOO MILKY lor~ Like 浆糊!! However, the taste was actually quite okay..
IMHO, the big Yao Zha Guai is more matching than the small ones..
Snoopy was there too!! He should have left an autograph!!
Foong & Me went there for the second time.. breakfast also! And I got to take back the previous comment of TOO MILKY!! The texture was just nice this time!! Great taste and nice texture.. with Yao Zha Guai.. the perfect match for congee.. Great!! ^^
There were few must-dos for the trip and this was one of them.. T & K Seafood in Yaowarat!
And once off the Tuk Tuk and walked into Thanon Yaowarat, the night view was just awesome with all the lighted signboards!
Food street in the night? Does it mean that it’s better to begin the culinary trip at night?
And you won’t miss the green signboard of T & K and their green uniforms.. Still doubt whether you could find it? Just check which restaurant has the most tables extended into the street.. =.="
Certainly it’s famous among tourists and may be somehow among local Thais.
The menu is clear what food you may interested to treat your hunger.. And prawn or crab glass noodle seemed to appear on almost every table.
Not bad!!
I found prawn glass noodle has always had more intense aroma than the crab version..
And for sure we won’t let go our first treat of Tom Yum in Bangkok..
Fish Maw Soup.. made of the swim bladders of fish, it’s nice!
And many other delicacies..
Veggies appeared to create a balance with all the great tastes from the sea..
林真香, a famous souvenir shop of Chinatown for traditional snacks!
Was quite satisfied with most of the order served except that I think they could do even better for the prawn and crab glass noodle pots. Gosh.. Wondering am I too demanding??

Again, a few more recaps on last trip! Day 6 Chatuchak Day!!
Chatuchak Weekend Market, the biggest market in Thailand. Only open on Saturday and Sunday.
Nancy Chandler’s map has a very good map and guide on this huge weekend market!
Get one if you don’t want to get lost in it!!
You name it you get it! And when you like something, just grab it!!
Cause you would not be able to find the way back to the same stall!!
There are many food stalls also offering food, drinks, snacks and desserts!!
And there is a post office nearby in case you want to post your postcards!!
Hehe.. I did that for my colleagues!
You will love this!! Something to make your shopping sustained... =.="
My recycle bag was full even with my limited budget!!
At that same night, we had our dinner in Robinson!
Thais just love mango!! This was from Secret Recipe..
Sukiyaki Sushi Buffet! There are many similar fusion food in Bangkok!
Hehe.. Tom Yum soup in a Jap restaurant?!
And these were just GROSS!! Never dare to try! Emm, later get tapeworms how wor!!
And this was my last night of the previous trip..
Day 7 Going Home, but before that, one more chicken rice!!
The beautiful sculpture of “Churning of the Sea of Milk” in Suvarnabhumi International Airport..
Similar to the bas-relief I saw from Angkor Wat!
Influence of Hinduism in Thailand..
Devas on the right..
And asuras on the left..
There are places for you to wander around in the airport.
One more day.. And I’ll be there again!!
And this time with full budget for shopping and food!! Wahaha..
