Minnie

Met her in Mid Valley during my first job. As the VO, I received both her and her brother. It was also the first time I saw Australian Silky puppies. Was already amazed by the beauty of Scooby (Wei Yii’s dog).. however these two puppies looked black and dirty!

They were extremely active and ran non-stop! It was a common practice to give a temporary name to every puppy received. I named her brother by the name of Mickey, so she’s Minnie!

They soon developed some coughing and was isolated in a room. Were treated long and this prevented them from being sold. There was many customers intended to buy, but was stopped by me because of the non-resolving cough.

I was still very fresh that time, did not actually realize that the coughing can drag so long before full recovery. Eric pushed me to buy one and be the Silky Gang. I was thinking that time that I would only buy one if my family accepts a dog to be indoor.

It took me some time to convince everybody in the house. Then it’s the experimenting time. Out of two, I chose the smaller her. But a puppy that couldn’t hold still even with my hands, could she pass the test?

Was the taking home day! A fart in the car was the first met gift for everybody. First image spoiled, I thought. Then the very gan cheong thing was the house-training. Methods used turned Minnie a bit coward after that, a regret.

But the whole introduction process was going through peacefully. No big havoc and no big mess. Which soon she was allowed to crouch on my Mom’s bed. And began sleeping with little Seng.

And hence added one new member in Chong’s family!

Minnie Chong, my adourable daughter!
