Yum Cha

Yum Cha, supposingly means drink tea.. used to refer spending time for a pot of tea with some Cantonese dim sum served.. and old folks holding bird cage and teasing their finches or some other song birds is a classic scene in old Cantonese-style dim sum restaurants!

To Malaysians, Yum Cha carries one more meaning... hanging around with friends... a casual lifestyle where drinks are served and snacks are enjoyable.. where chatting or chui shui-ing gone wild.. Doesn’t matter where is it.. be it dim sum shop, cafe, mamak store, lounge, etc etc.. The most important element is: being with friends!!

Yum Cha, can also mean having breakfast in Malaysian lifestyle..

Like me! Yum Cha with my family every morning before going work is my routine.. And kopitiam’s dim sum can be very good too!!

Ehmm.. never confused it with “Yum Sing”.. it is totally a different thing!! =.=”
