Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

A place I wanted to go so much besides Ayuthya. Despite all the discouragements, we made it at last!

We got to wake up early that morning! Unusual with this sort of free and easy trip? Sometimes got to sacrifice a bit if you want more adventures and memories!

Our driver is kind a friendly and tried his best to introduce me the sceneries along our way to Damnoen Saduak, where our floating market is..

Communication is not difficult actually as long as both parties try their very best to listen and understand..

I stress again, I’m NOT Thai!!

It was a breezy but warm welcome at Tan Luang Pier 2 of the floating market!!

The guide brought us first to this Coconut Sugar Farm.. It’s a tactic to woo spending on souvenirs, coconut sugars and other products..

You will get a chance to know bit more on the processing part of coconut sugar..

It isn’t that bad.. No odour, no rubbish, just bit busy with all the tourists!

1545_20100117_172_Bangkok

Upon request, you may off from the boat and walk through the shops on shore.. And this was what I wanted so much.. chance of shooting nice photos.. But too bad!

1546_20100117_175_Bangkok

It was only after we had passed through the whole floating market before knowing that it’s too late to stop our boat..

Poor Snoopy.. =.="

1508_20100117_188_Bangkok

One of the nicest accomplished in this trip.. And I’ll be back again next round for more photos!!

TIPS: The market is not that long, so don’t miss the chance to get on shore. And the reasonable price for one boat tour is around 500THB per head! There is supposed a time limit for the boat tour, meaning the boatman will time you and bring you back on time! Arrange the eating on boat only while going out.. cause you may eat along the way out! The boatman will return the bowl back for you!
