Kuching Kucing

I made a collection of Kucing (cats, kitties in Malay language) from Malaysia’s famous “cat town” of Sarawak.. :P while I was visiting there for my good friend’s wedding last October.

Even though Kuching is a town named after the cat, I did not actually see many REAL cats there...

I would think dogs are more popular as pets among Kuching people..

And didn’t see cats, even strays...

But touring the town, you will observe many cat statues, images and cat souvenirs, they are everywhere..

Walking down Main Bazaar Road, the famous souvenir street of Kuching...

And I saw more pretty cats or kitties in a local pottery...

And these cats are waiting for completion in the pottery backyard..

Looked like real kitties waiting for a passionate owner and a cozy home sweet home..

And you will see more cats, in this museum of CATS, CATS, CATS!!! The Cat Museum of Kuching...

For those who loves cats, how could you resist the charm of Kuching?
